Shoal Creek Counseling offers the following training sessions for clinicians in 2024:


Chaperon Curriculum Training: 

Training for families and friends of individuals who have committed a sexual offense behavior; chaperone training course approved by probation and parole; sessions will be followed up by individual sessions with the chaperone, the therapist, and the offender to specifically create strategies for being in risk situations. So You Want to Be an LSOTP? (40 hours ceu)

Curriculum that provides the initial required hours for Affiliate Sex Offender Treatment Providers to apply for licensure as a Licensed Sex Offender Treatment Provider; curriculum covers how to work with specialized populations, legal issues, treatment program best practices, as well as working with specific populations such as female offenders, juveniles, internet offenses, intellectually delayed; also covers evaluations, testing, risk assessment, and courtroom testimony. The required 10 hours of training in working with victims and understanding victim’s issues is also a part of this curriculum.
